by Deke Marston | Nov 21 2011
Two tournaments offered up some big money over the weekend in the US!Lake Tahoe, NVMichael Rosenbach earned his second World Series of Poker* Circuit Gold Ring in a week with his victory in the penultimate event at the Lake Tahoe stop on the circuit. He earned $26,796 of the $107,185 in the prize pool for his victory, bringing his winnings from the four events he entered to over $46,000. Rosenbach beat a field of 220 players to earn the victory, which pretty much locked him down as the "Best All-Around Player" on this circuit stop, giving him entry into the 1 million 2011-2012 WSOP Circuit National Championship, to be held in Las Vegas, next May.

All of the winners are from California, which isn't that odd considering Lake Tahoe's location near that state's border with Nevada. With the Championship wrapping up today, the Lake Tahoe WSOPC stop proves that, again, it is one of the best American tournament series for mid-level players looking to profit without huge buy-ins.
Jacksonville, FLSpeaking of circuit tours in America, WPT Jacksonville, held in the newly minted Jacksonville Poker Room wrapped up its second day with 42 players remaining, led by Vitor Coelho. At one point, Coelho had a stack of over a million chips but even with a dip below the seven-digit mark, he's still going into day 3 with 945,000 on his side, placing him at easy 340,000 ahead of his nearest competitor, Connor Drinan. Alex Venovsi, Darryll Fish and Sam Soverel round out the top five players.
